Summary

David Koon is a TEDx speaker and helps students to cultivate a love for the chess game, instils discipline by doing chess puzzles and ultimately builds their confidence to take part in national chess competitions and how to rebound from defeats — traits that are increasingly important in today’s world.

David Koon became the inter-college chess champion at age 16. He has a strong passion for chess, a game with over 500 years of history, and has taught more than 40 children aged 8 and above.

Professionally, he sits on various Boards, delivers training in soft skills. has 6 years experience in fintech. He was the Past President of the Chinese Business Chamber and is a Committee member of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Teaches chess at Clavis International Primary School

David currently teaches chess as an extra curricular activity at Clavis, a private school in Mauritius on Tuesday and Wednesday from 14:45 to 15:45. He will provide a progress tracker to keep track of your child's development.

Clavis will be renewing the chess program for another academic year, following strong feedback—this year from parents.
